You Took Me As Your Bride

by patcelaw

When we
met that summer day
you were the wind beneath my
broken wings, and took me as your bride.

Love Poem Poetry Contest contest entry

The photo is of my husband on our wedding day Jan 25, 1959. We met on August 16, 1958 so it was a rather quick romance. We were married almost 37 years before he died.
