Our Love Was Army Strong

A young man's pledge to go to war,

He gave his all and so much more.

My vet took the oath to comply -

Our love was strong and did not die.




He fought at the age of eighteen -

He came home broken--unforeseen!

The years we lost have passed us by;

Our love was strong and did not die.




Our love was U S Army strong...

He was away for much too long.

He's home; still, tears fall from his eyes -

Our love is strong and did not die.
