Dare Scare

Some of us were born under the risky business star. Tonight was my turn to dare the scare. My mission was straightforward: stay in the middle of the road and run when the car was closer than thirty centimeters.
Jim pushed me in the middle of the road and said:
"If you stay put, the entire bet is yours."
"How much?"
"Fifty thousand."
"Wow, VACATION for an entire year in Costa Rica. I dare the thousands scares for this kind of money."
I was too slow, and Death laughed on my face: welcome to Costa Del Hell, scare!"
Me: "Dare?"
