A burning question

He contemplated the flickering candle burning before his eyes. The infant child sighed then exhaled in a slow continuous breath.
The candle flame appeared to expire before recovering and relighting itself several times as the infant continued to exhale.
When the child's breath was exhausted the dancing flame was left intact; the candle still alight, burning brightly.
The infant spoke out, "Is this the original flame or did it die and come back like me?"
