Pain and fear, fear and pain,

Praying for help to respond.

The thorns wrap around your legs.
You fall to your knees and beg.
Lord, give me strength to go on,
Help me stay steady and calm.

God, guide me through this jungle of life.
Save me, Lord, from struggle, pain and strife.
Take my hand, lead me to a clearing.
A place my heart can calm it's beating.

Fill me with your breath of peace.
With you the fear and pain cease.
The comfort you can provide,
It helps all my pain subside.

It's a harsh and cruel world we live in,
Rocky and broken roads, uneven.
We can't travel these paths all alone.
No one should be lost and on their own.

Close your eyes and ask him for his hand.
He will support you to make a stand.
The Lord is your strength and your courage.
