Remember Me

Remember me when life was sweet.
Remember me till next we meet
and when the grave becomes my bed,
remember me, though I lie dead.

My life's now like a dream nightmare.
My pleasures are extremely rare.
When days are dark and nights renew,
my thoughts always return to you.

Life is like an eternal dream,
memories flowing like a stream.
My pleasures very short and few,
the best are those I spent with you.

Do not forget these lines so true,
and all the time I spent with you.
Though death paid call and we're apart,
you will remain, within my heart.

Some day, somewhere we'll meet anew,
to share the love that we once knew.
I hope to be for Heaven bound,
where hope and joy can then be found. April-2021
