7. Joy
by Debra White
I used to hate my middle name. My middle name is Joy. I found it so embarrassing, not one I could enjoy. My friends all had such 'modern' ones, like Sarah and Marie. I couldn't comprehend why mum and dad had given me a boring, dull, old lady name! It's now I realise... When I was born, their hearts were filled with joy, so I chastise my younger self for bellyaching 'bout my middle name. It's actually quite wonderful - I'll proudly now lay claim. |
All true! I love it now :)
