Wannabe..
My crew and I we went inside,
the place had quite a creepy vibe.
To make a YouTube video,
the house abandoned long ago.
We were Ghostbuster wannabees,
like those that we'd seen on TV.
We found a broken window pane
through cob-webbed glass, our access gained.
The house was on a downward spiral,
our video would soon go viral.
When we caught ghosts in all their glory,
we'd all star in this horror story.
The musky darkness then closed in,
our ghost adventure would begin.
Besides me, two guys and one girl,
we thought we'd give this thing a whirl.
Trekked through the house covered in grime,
we only walked for short a time.
When from the upper level came,
a growling animal yet unnamed.
Then something black with savage teeth,
it jumped the rail, ran underneath
the stairwell with two glowing eyes,
us, paralyzed that's no surprise.
It's some unholy hound from Hell,
this creature was, we all could tell.
Scared to death, our cameras rolled,
to catch this horror scene unfold.
The hound he whimpered 'neath the stair,
not quite so scary to be fair.
In fact not evil in the least,
though he looked like a scary beast.
We coaxed him out, 'Spike' his tag said,
he was bedraggled and half dead.
We took him out and got him food,
his eyes said you're a righteous dude.
We left without a spirit seen,
our video a distant dream.
We didn't look back at the place,
or see the staring ghostly face.
Or see the ghastly shadow man,
holding a bloody ax in hand.
"What a waste!", my friends all said,
"Not hide nor hair of the undead."
We made a canine friend that day,
we'll find a ghost some other way.
Our videos will make the news,
when we get to a million views.
Until then we'll post what we've got,
we'll act real scared, although we're not.
It's entertaining, what the hell.
Real or fake? We'll never tell.
