We Got Lucky

If there was just one slice of bread
and you wanted some toast.
But I did too, I'd make it for you,
'cause I love you the most!

If the coffee pot was 'bout empty,
just enough for one more cup.
I'd put in cream and sugar,
glad to see you drink it up!

I'd buy you all the things you want,
I'd somehow find a way.
I wouldn't wait for Christmas,
or even your birthday.

If you asked for stars above,
I'd gather them somehow.
I'd include the sun and moon,
and even the jumping cow.

If you wanted gold or silver,
I'd put on my mining gear.
I'd dig down deep to find a vein,
because you are so dear.

If you wanted to see the world,
a hot air balloon I'd buy.
We'd travel 'til your heart's content,
together we would fly.

If you asked me to give my heart...
to you, I'd proudly say,
I gave it to you long ago
when we met that fine spring day.

You feel the same for me I know,
you'd do those same things too.
The reason being? It's because
we're so in love, we two.

We buy lottery tickets
every week, it's just for fun.
For when we found each other,
our life lottery was won!
