Like a lonely puppy
scratching window panes
of Ruthy's Pet Emporium.

A big, old grumpy bear
feeling gruff and hairy.
Tired of hiber~nation,
now looking for some berries.
A vibrant, pretty starfish
stolen from the sea,
now hanging dry and dusty
at some bar in Tennesse.
A modern day Rapunzel,
waiting restless, trapped at home.
This weathered, tethered vagabond
is longing just to roam.
