After a nice dinner
we walked to the car
holding hands,the wine
had us both a little warm,
I opened the door,
she moved closer to me.
A sup prised long tender kiss,
that put excitement in the air.
We drove home in silence,
she laid back and rested.
We arrived at her place,
she invited me in
my head was spinning with
thoughts this night would bring.
We sat by the fire with a glass
of wine, later she led me to
her bedroom.
The passion was high and hot.
A night of love I will never forget.
For years to come we would
share our love.
Then one day when she got out
of the car for work, she gave me
another surprising kiss,
there was something different
about this one, it felt like goodbye
and so it was.
The kiss that started it all,
also put and end to it.
The kiss that set me on fire,
has now put out the flame.
