Ode To My Hammock

by BlueMarble

Spring has arrived and it’s calling me
That old hammock beneath the maple tree
Oh how gently now it swings
Rocking to tunes the robin sings
How I love its gentle sway
While lazing the long afternoon away
Gazing up from its sweet embrace
Warmed by the sun on my face
I watch the clouds float across the sky
I see the birds flying high
All the while my hammock's sway
Is rocking peace into my day
My mind falls silent when it enfolds me
Blessing me gently with tranquility
