Tweety was my all-time favourite cartoon, very cute.

The Tweety show

by Joanne Gill-Maddick

My favourite cartoon back in the day was the Tweety show.

I loved to watch this after school while mom had supper on the go.

“That bad old puddy tat will never div up.”

He's always up to no dood.

You always got to keep your eye on him to make sure he's doing what he should.

In spite of Sylvester’s clever attempts to have tweety on his sandwich bread.

Tweety always outsmarted him he escaped every time and fled.

“I tawt I taw a puddy tat” Tweety would often say.

“I did I did taw a puddy tat and hes coming wight this way.”

Sufferin succotash was the words Sylvester always seemed to say.

He may have been a clever cat. But he was no match for Tweety in any sort of way.

“Tweety always said I can tell he dont wike me.”

“Because he always tweats me vewy bad.”

“Why can't he tweat me nice. I wouldn't be so sad.”

“Once a bad old puddy tat always a bad old puddy tat” Tweety would often say.

Being such a clever bird himself, he always managed to get away.

The Tweety Show brings back sweet memories of when I was just a little girl.

A much simpler carefree time.

Today we live in a different world.
