a 100 word story
anywhere but here
by judester
Tony stacked peanut bowls and gathered up empty glasses. He wiped down the bar, checked his watch and sighed loudly. At the end of the bar sat his most annoying customer. He was a rude, loudmouth liar. He sat staring at his reflection in the bar mirror. Disheveled hair poked out from beneath his cap, his tie soaking up spilt diet coke on the bar.
Tony was done being nice. He flicked on the bright last~call light, leaned down and whispered in the old man's ear,
"Listen buddy, you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here.
