A poem about sudden loss of a loved one.

You left Without Saying Good-bye

by fm wright

Perfect had seemed our life together.
We had persevered through stormy weather.
Then one day you were suddenly gone,
and I had to face a lonely dawn.

The world around me's crumbled apart:
fragmented into pieces is my heart.
Each day I come to visit you;
my love remaining forever true.

Now while looking upon your gravesite
my mind returns to that terrible night.
It all transpired just way too fast:
in an instant, away you had passed.

All that remains are unfulfilled dreams.
Broken now, is our once unified team.
You let out not so much as a sigh,
when you left without saying good-bye.
