Brand New Year

A New Year comes along,
you have a second chance,
to make things right,
there is a guiding light,
along with your soul,
so you won't be dull.

A year to make new memories,
all things will be merry,
you will make new friends,
the new dog is your best friend.

Don't despair,
you have plenty to share,
you have a new life, 
ahead of you,
don't be so glum.

The New Year is full of optimism,
never feed on negativism,
good things will come to you,
you are due,
to a brand new year.

Never fear,
my dear,
think happy,
don't be sappy,
you will have new opportunities,
to accomplish.
Make the best of it.
You'll see!
