Intelligent people saw Trump for what he is.

Hurray for Democracy

I am elated that Trump was dumped
Did little about Covid, sat on his rump
His lies by the thousands split us apart
The man has an incredibly black heart
 
Biden, a man with empathy and good soul
Concern for all others he does kindly extoll
A calming, logical orator when he speaks
All people fighting hatred is what he seeks
 
We now have a leader who will do all he can
To bring us together and march hand in hand
Hurrah for all who worked for a fair vote
Democracy may now intone a jubilant note
 
Trump’s muddy swamp people will be cleared
Joe Biden simply will not tweet vicious smears
Biden as our leader does not wish to reign
Instead will try to bring us together, rid us of pain
 
Under intelligent leadership we’ll return to be
A country of decent citizens, hopefully hatred free
