a dribble

Worry

Herb couldn't take it anymore. His constant worrying had driven everyone away, leaving him alone.

Wanting to end it, he got out his best suit, ironed it, and went downtown to jump off the bridge.

His final thought, as he plummeted to the water, was whether he had turned off the iron.
