Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
The thunder of heartstrings silenced.

My Musician

In the lingering shadow
of his parting,
she began her
odyssey
into the morrows'
sea of loneliness.
Without him--
she was a silent instrument
wandering
through empty lyrics-
without a melody.
Flat notes
floated through
The emptiness;
skimming love's surface
in search of
the musician
who once
whispered
them to life.
