Chapter 1
A Book For Patricia- patcelaw

By Karen Cherry Threadgill

Poor Patricia, bad enough to be in a hospital to get your heart retuned, now it is postponed at least a day. It gives all of us time to write something loving and happy for her. HINT

I send all good wishes, blessings, kind thoughts, any surplus energy that leaks out, and happiness. I wish you a swift and complete recovery, with many healthy years ahead of you. I wish you joy, love and giggles, we need all of that stuff.  Well, we know you will have plenty of stuff to read. Good luck sweetie pie and we all love you. Karen

Author Notes Picture from pinterest. I thought about having a half naked gorgeous man for you to look at. But we have to watch that heart :-)

Chapter 2
Pat with Butterfly

By Karen Cherry Threadgill

Blue is such a happy color isn't it?  I hope you have some good news today . I wrote you a poem.

Patricia is an absolute gem

I'm not saying this on a whim

She writes with delight

And makes everything bright

Even when the pickin's are slim

She writes with love and great care

We're lucky she has those to spare

She lifts up my day

I've just got to say

She's one of my favorites, so there!

Sending best wishes, Prayers, and vast consideration for caregivers.  Love, Karen

Chapter 3
Acrostic Poem For Patricia

By Karen Cherry Threadgill

Poetry is the gift she brings
As lovely as butterfly wings
Touching our hearts with each new word
Reaching through air just like a bird
I receive verse that lifts my heart
Calming my soul right from the start
In no time I feel so much peace
And pray her gifts will never cease

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received
to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its
various forms. 1 Peter 4:10

Patricia,

Thank you for using your gifts as God intended.  We are blessed to have you as our friend.   Praying for a fast and full recovery.

Marilyn

Chapter 4
Prevail

By Karen Cherry Threadgill

When we were young
everything was new
the air was filled with laughter
and love sailed through the air

now we are older
and age can be a blessing
unless we forget the sound of laughter
and give in to our trials

always remember
you are a blessing to the lord
and to the many friends that admire you
prevail

and discover once more
the peace of Christ
which passeth all understanding

Chapter 5
Patricia

By Karen Cherry Threadgill

Patricia,
May God guide the doctor's hands and all attending your surgery. Know that you are covered in prayer from all your FS friends and fans. I pray for a speedy recovery and look forward to your future work.

Awakened by a lovely sound
in recovery, you look around

You wonder what it is you hear
finding yourself without fear

On the left side of the sheet
You can feel your heart's fresh beat

Looking toward our lord above
Thanking him for all his love

A tear rolls softly from your eyes
You pray for those who lost their lives

You'll tell the story of one strong soul
Who cured your world and made you whole

God bless, my friend.
Steve

Author Notes This is a chapter in a book for Patricia (Patcelaw) with best wishes and speedy recovery.

Chapter 6
Patricia's Witness

By Karen Cherry Threadgill

Patricia is a lovely saint
Computer screen’s one way she paints
Her life has seen some trying days
And yet she always gives God praise

While waiting for her surgery
She listened to a sad story
She understood the woman’s loss
And shared the comfort from His Cross

Although the surgery is done
The doctor says another one
Is scheduled so she gets some rest
May extra time be extra blessed

Though this is hard on our dear Pat
We know that God will use each chat
To bless the witness to His grace
As she brings light to that hard place

Author Notes Notes:
Patricia (patcelaw) is having heart surgery. It was delayed because the surgeon was sick and when they did the surgery, they decided to do it as two surgeries, putting the second stent in tomorrow. Please pray for no infection and successful completion of the surgery and that she will continue to be a great witness in the hospital. She already ministered to a woman who was recently widowed. Patricia was a great blessing to the nurses and patients during her last hospital stay.

Chapter 7
I simply want to say.

By Karen Cherry Threadgill

I simply want to say,
you're loved most night and day.
You're in His heart, His thought,
your life our Jesus bought.

He promises to stay,
each moment, and each day.
If skies be blue or grey.
as on your bed you lay.

He's carried all our wrong,
you're in his care, His song.
He could not love you more,
your health and care His core.

My prayer that you are well,
as morning rings it's bell,
He said, I can't do more,
you've entered through faith's door.

That by His stripes you're healed,
and on Christ's cross it's sealed.
R.Owen. 3/10/2024.

Author Notes We love you Patricia, and our prayers and petitions are that you be healed and well, we pray the surgeons hand is guided by the Master surgeon Himself, Jesus, the lover of your soul.

Isaiah 53:4-5
Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. NKJV
Thanks for reading. R.Owen.

Chapter 8
Garden Moments

By Karen Cherry Threadgill

Rest to heal in the garden in times it feels slow
Take a little glimpse around, see God's beauty glow
Graceful vibrant butterflies flutter through the grass
Pretty colours on their wings glide with such pizzazz

Birds call to one another chirping in the trees
Remind's we are lucky to have days just like these
The busy bees buzzing, all day they have a chore
Whizz off to fill their hives with honey we adore

Pretty aromatic flower's scent in your nose
Breathing in
God's therapy will help as he knows
Gazing at the bright blue sky, plump clouds passing by
Within these grateful moments pain is kissed goodbye

Author Notes Hoping and praying for a successful surgery and speedy recovery for our friend Pat, so she can get back to doing all things she loves like her beautiful poetry and enjoying the simple things in life while healing.

Best Wishes
Nicki xx

Chapter 9
Get Well, Patricia

By Karen Cherry Threadgill

Patricia loves her butterflies;
About them she writes rhymes.
New poem styles she often tries
While on her walks sometimes.

She gives God glory as she writes,
And offers praise as well.
In hospital she rests these nights;
We pray she soon is well.

Author Notes Thank you, Cleo85 for your lovely art.

Chapter 10
Prayers on the Wing

By Karen Cherry Threadgill

Like the beautiful butterflies
in your lovely poems,
our heartfelt prayers are taking wing
to bring you happiness,
hope, and wishes for your good health.

with your beautiful words,
whether in poetry or prose
or a simple review.

the beauty around us
God provides for our enjoyment.
You have the kindest words
for your FanStory family

We love you very much!

God Bless You, Patricia!

Thoughts for Patricia

By Karen Cherry Threadgill

“Butterflies...flowers that fly and all but sing.”
~ Robert Frost

Blue butterfly’s
Coming your way
With pleasant thoughts
And joy it brings

Nature’s bouqet attracts beauty
To share with you~
Delicate wings sing

Chapter 12
A Prayer for Patricia

By Karen Cherry Threadgill

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for the power of Your healing Word. Your Spirit is upon Patricia, and Your Word is within her, removing all sickness, fear or pain from her body.

Her body is Your temple where You dwell as Your life permeates her spirit, mind, and soul. We pray that every organ and tissue of her body functions in the perfection that You created.

You have given your angels charge over her to keep her in all her ways. Your life flows within her bringing healing to every fiber of her body.

We pray that You restore her body with every breath she breathes and every word she speaks.

Give her a strong heart that pumps Your life-giving blood and floods her body with cleansing properties that restore life and health abundantly.  Let every heartbeat and cell continuously build her strength.

We thank you Heavenly Father for Patricia and the joy she brings to others. We ask that her recovery is speedy and thank You for Your grace, mercy, and loving kindness, in the name of Jesus.

Chapter 13
Tribulations

By Karen Cherry Threadgill

I hope you're on the mend, my friend,
at least not suffering much pain,
I'm sure you'd rather just pretend
than know that you must go in again,

but sometimes when we face such trials,
we pray and all with ease is done -
it means we can go on for miles
and have the time to thank the Son.

(Wishing your surgeon blessed hands, and you, a speedy, easy recovery!)
(The tiny monarch butterfly makes one of nature's most amazing migrations.)
Get well soon!

Author Notes Something to watch as you heal... (*smile*)
