Word Power

By Lea Tonin1

Chatter

Matter
Shatter
Continuing chatter and Batter
Destroying the matter, leaves shatter.

Chapter 2
The Why....

By Lea Tonin1

Cast out the fear that preachers bring
Banish the God who punished all things
Take back ideas of Satan and Hell
Away the fright, the hate we must quell

Darkest of planets to Earth we have come
For lessons we learn and then we are done
Make your mistakes be all that you can
Discard false ideas they're flotsam and spam

Take back your notion of original sin
In this idea that no one can win
We're supposed to err to perfect our souls
How else would we know how it all goes

Fleeting is our corporeal needs
Ripples in ponds, rings in a tree
A day in this school the bell rings at three
And home we shall go the realities free

Only our love that matters let us all see

Author Notes We all have our values, beliefs and morals all to be respected. This poem is my inner view and no disrespect is intended to anyone
For myself it boils down to two questions:

"Did I do the best I can?" And
"Is there anything more I can do?"

If the answers are "Yes" and "No" then I must be like a duck and let the rain roll off.

Chapter 3
Seasons End

By Lea Tonin1

In the cherry mist the tumbleweed roars.

Summer freeze...

The Gopher shouts before shutting its doors.

Purple breeze...

The Eagles shriek in gymnastic skies.

Crimson earth...

Quietly tripping old summer cries.

Absent mirth.

In the melting end of the seasons repast.

Devoured feast...

We chance the din recovering at last.

Conquered beast.

Author Notes I've always enjoyed the colors and wildlife of fall, especially just as the season turns having said that Spring is my favorite but you can't beat those colors.

Chapter 4
Tides of Copper

By Lea Tonin1

Heated summer the sand bar sings,
in pools of warmth, the crabs glee brings,
Dancing diamonds green sea offers,
while she waits in tides of copper.

Sun quivers on the horizon,
hangs before the collide risin'.
Darkness creeps approaches proper,
while she waits in tides of copper.

Golden orb creeping down she weeps,
knowing now ther'll be no retreat.
Blood is all that flows in coffers,
while she waits in tides of copper.

Chapter 5
Missing link

By Lea Tonin1

Missing link made obsolete, we embark on dusty feet.

Chapter 6
Acceptance

By Lea Tonin1

Cannot stop, our train rolls regardless....
Ride instead.

Author Notes Things are going to happen no matter how much we jump and down. We can win ourselves fighting for what is inevitable or we can get to work! Our choice.

Chapter 7
The Shriek

By Lea Tonin1

Look into the eyes of the Earth and despair...

Glimpse our made bed.

Author Notes Now the ever present question climatepedia change... an important issue daily spoken of. If you look climate change it is no longer a question of "if" it's not a question of "when". When is right now.

Chapter 8
The Trial

By Lea Tonin1

Submission in demand.

Outrage they gave.

Torture they planned.

Freedom they craved.

Chapter 9
The Choice

By Lea Tonin1

Sublime

Twisted snarl red

Spare the beauty she binds

The nightmare in her jealous bed

Divine

Author Notes I wanted to express the juxtaposition of the abused woman who loves and hates all at once. She thinks the man she met is still inside. Really he was only gaslighting.

Chapter 10
End Times

By Lea Tonin1

Fear the wake....last day....

Colossal burn devours all.

The day man succumbs....

Author Notes This talks of end times as all things in life and death come to a close. It is the path we wrote for ourselves plunging headlong into our made future.

Chapter 11
The Balance

By Lea Tonin1

Dread the night that comes to rape the sun dispersing rays that love the day.

The frown on the face of the Fellowship prevalent having realized the loss of rule.

The unknown specter, King of miasma, threatens those who wish to pass.

The darkest corners disguised in a black cloak the day gathers strength to do battle once more.

In the continuing eons the struggle for supremacy rages never knowing the fight is balanced.

So we roll watching the blood sun take its revenge.

The fellowship sighs in repose..

Author Notes This speaks to the Yin and Yang the push and pull, the action and reaction the balance as I call it between life-and-death day-and-night.

Chapter 12
Schematics End

By Lea Tonin1

Black widow... earth breathes its last.

Author Notes The black widow cosumes her mate after meeting just like humans are doing to the earth. Climate change and the state of affairs on this planet and it's ever burgeoning population is closest to my heart as I see and know what is and what is coming....

Chapter 13
Eyes to See, Ears to Hear...

By Lea Tonin1

In the twisting wind binds the mind that keeps.

Held by thoughts of imitation love...

The designed trap of others.

Weapons that carve the message of deception and loss to come rises.

Step from the red light disguised as green and thunder in a silent room.

Shout out the anguish in the space that passes no sound.

It falls on the ears of self only convinced the world knows....

Just a blanket of deceit cold to touch.

Awaken to what is true and bury what is not without funeral.

Banish the darkness the doppelganger of love to reveal Azna at last in the light.

She wakes with gathering peace.

Author Notes This speaks of deception and the mind that finally sees...

Chapter 14
The Peace Pursuit

By Lea Tonin1

And the clouds draped their white blankets over the mountains and hills as if to warm the land with its cottony breath.

Birds borrowed shelves of air dodging the waves rising, the sea's diamond belly ever present.

"Careful" roared the river rushing as it released its heavy burden into the thirsty ocean and "Fear not the blend as humans do."

Delight in rain that soaks the earth with burgeoning rainbows whos feet are never found elusive in its texture.

Answer the call of peace gathering in our laps and hold it there entrapping the moment when all the world shifts and we finally, deeply see...

Author Notes Climate changes subject close to my heart. When once Winter was prevalent every year and now only rain.

Chapter 15
The Justice Watch

By Lea Tonin1

What is born of deception and misdirection ?

Tepid fruit poisonous with intent.

It's only motivation in the guise of light comes the dark with malicious madness.

Set forth in a mission of extinction, ingredients designed to corrupt.

Crawls the light within clamoring for breath.

She comes damned in the eyes of light.

That which fooled the name of Justice.

Author Notes I've always enjoyed mixing hard words with soft. Or the contrast of phrases makes for an interesting read.

Chapter 16
The Soul Battle

By Lea Tonin1

Retreat from the light that dims.
The decision made with cruelty wraiths the mother that weeps...
Lost are you in the choice of given pain...
Fades to indifference with a shrug.
Your final act in the turn solidifies....
Only the lead weeps now....reluctance slips.
These are the words of Rene the last to attend you.
As the gray soul turns to dark....

Author Notes It speaks of the struggles with the human soul to stay light in a world of darkness. Some do come through.

Chapter 17

By Lea Tonin1

permeating the air

my heart lives there too...

Chapter 18

which loves its way through our souls

CarnivOrous, that is its Name
Which caresses in blood mangled touch

Fatalist, that is its name
Which strolled in enticing form deceitful guises.

DarkNess, that is it's name

Chapter 20
Crossroads

By Lea Tonin1

beware the signs of internal paths with perdition

crawling intently at break neck speed.

obsorbing occidental melee along the way

behold the crossroads dividing trajectory.

designed weakness meant for the struggle

decisions are no shallow foe!

Combating choices we all must make

love the voice, soul inside that guides

fight the flow or ride the wave, the path is already made

the crossroad sign twinkling

the time is steadfastly nigh

turn right, stop at the light

proceed...as we all must so says the soul

Chapter 21
Carnage

By Lea Tonin1

twist and turn bewilderment burns.

warp and churn the hurt returns

Weep and sigh wondering why

Break and bleed a hopeless cry

Rip and tear my open chest bare

Wonder where's the heart that was there.

In his hand he holds it square.

squeezing, bending crippling snare

Oh this woe has got to be stowed

The void is darker than you know

My soul shouts in blended whispers

Please make the journey much quicker.

For soon I'll blow like sand no thicker....

Chapter 22
The Mirror

By Lea Tonin1

internal turns out when shown against self.

deception no longer held upon shelf.

glittering mirror shows truth inside.

face what you see with courage don't hide.

reflections of good shining in kind.

Imperfections embrace correction with time.

Give of our hearts not expecting it filled.

Share of our time not wait for the thrills.

reflections and mirrors sisters in tow.

they show us our truths and in them we know,

no place we can go without mirrors to show,

who exactly we are truth will not go...

Chapter 24
The Brave Soul

By Lea Tonin1

Birth weak life Earth
Crawl walk stumble fall
Pain rise dust anon
Learn love hate choice

Push pull climb drop
Hurt hone hold decide
Judge change fix mold
Share split take divide

Send receive mate child
Brave soul shape perfect
Age wise know leave
Arrive home at last....

Author Notes When we get in a car and we drive it down the street are we the car? Of course not. We are the operator.
It is the same with our bodies. We are the operator. This life....a ripple in the pond, a ring in a tree. A day in school. Bell rings at three and it's time to go home.
It takes the bravest souls to live a life on this planet. Gods most negative planet in his vast universe designed to teach us lessons as quick as possible to perfect our souls.....and daring the darkness along the way..

Chapter 28
The Betrayed

By Lea Tonin1

black, deep is the hole

Innuendo they cast me

A false mold of lies...

Author Notes The pain of betrayal has got to be the worst. the frustration of not being able to do anything about it when faced with minds that will not be changed if they refuse to see evidence. It all means nothing in the face of such a thing....

Chapter 29
Two Oceans

By Lea Tonin1

"Two oceans were swirling along."

Dad said, in little boys song.

"Dad", the boy asked, "Did they speak? Did they rave?"

"Nothin", Dad said, "They only just waived."

"Dad" he said, "this song is just wrong."

Chapter 32
Hollarween

By Lea Tonin1

Straw man dances on his Autumn post
Quivers in fear the 'witches' black boast.
Cold clammy flesh, red mocking love eyes
Show of seduction a quicksand disguise

Glinting white teeth shining black claw
Pumkins shiver the carvings cruel draw.
Jekyll and Hyde's waiting their chance.
Spectres waft with tombstones they dance.

Twenty four hours of horrors intent.
The one yearly chance the dark ones can vent.
Surround your children in white light and prayers.
"Hollarween's coming, stay out if you dare."

Author Notes "Hollarween" a mix twist of two words. Halloween and hollar.
