This is the core of life
His holy sacred place
The snow falls silently
Reminder of His grace
There's something pure
About the falling snow
It Induces a calm feeling
My faith in Him to know
For virgin snow is special
Untainted beauty at best
How fast it becomes grey
after it all comes to rest
Each white flake is unique
Magical in form and size
It's a frozen water droplet
Sent from cold gray skies
Visual awe, spiritual gift
A duo of His creativity
Flakes may all look alike
But each has diversity
They fall as lonely flakes
As part of a larger theme
When God created them
He had a useful scheme
This magical gift of nature
Speaks without a sound
Twirling twisting flakes
Softly whirling all around
As scores gather outside
Upon the frozen ground
Inside is spiritual comfort
Songs of praise abound

Teacup Dictionary
In a teacup dictionary poem, the dictionary word is the title. Each following line must define the word, but drops one syllable per line, starting with the first line descending until there is a one syllable word that defines the dictionary word. The next line must have the same number of syllables as the dictionary word and makes an observation about the dictionary word or the preceding lines. The poem is usually centered on the page. The teacup dictionary poem was created by Rose Jones in 2009. |
