Fortean Phenomena
Charles Fort (1874-1933) was a journalist with a passion for collecting stories of strange occurrences that the scientific community of the time either rationalized or ignored. He was among the first to speak openly about spontaneous human combustion, frogs and fish falling from the sky, ball lightning, human teleportation, and alien abduction. To this day, he still has a faithful following and a magazine named for him, 'Fortean Times' (UK), dedicated to reporting inexplicable phenomena.
