Chamber of Horrors

DESCRIBE a room somehow related to horror/thriller/mystery. For example: in an abandoned house, at a grisly crime scene, in an insane asylum, in a basement, etc.

NO characters, action, or plot. Just describe the room in such a way that brings your reader right there in it. Use multiple senses to give them a chill. Avoid excessive use of adjectives and -ly adverbs; focus on strong nouns and verbs.

CONSIDER using a voice other than your own: is your description being narrated by a serial killer, a reporter, a detective, a scared child?

No word count requirement. No poetry.
