Limerick
A limerick is a 5-line humorous poem having a specific rhyme scheme (aa,bb,a) and a lyrical rhythm pattern which supports the humor. The (a) lines can be 8 or 9 syllables while the (b) lines can be 6 or 7 syllables. Example:
There once was a gamble named Brett
Who on the race horses would bet
He would lose so much money
That his wife would plead - Honey,
Please don?t get us further in debt!
