Trauma
Write about a traumatic experience in your life, and the aftermath: how you overcame it (or didn't), and how it has shaped your life and helped create the person you are today. The trauma can be large or small: divorce, job loss, illness, racism, sexism, poverty, the death of a relative or pet, or even childhood trauma such as abuse or bullying.
If writing about a personal experience with trauma is too triggering, then please do not do it; you may instead write a fictional account of a character enduring and overcoming a traumatic experience. Fiction or nonfiction. 500-3000 words.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool of 48.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Sunday, February 4, 2024.
