Final Girl (or Guy)
Write a story about the sole survivor of a tragedy. This can be anything from a natural disaster like a fire or an earthquake, to an accident like a shipwreck or plane crash, to an attack by a psychotic killer. The story can take place in the heat of the action (all of your protagonist's friends are dead; how will he or she escape?) or years after the event. Let's get dramatic! Minimum 1200 words.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool.
