NaPoWriMo April Poetry Contest
Poetry Contest
April is the National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo) . This contest is for all who want to practice writing a poem a day to celebrate poetry!
Come join in the fun! Since this contest is a collection of poems, you need to first create a book of poetry. Keep writing a poem each day and add it as a new chapter.
It is helpful to choose a theme to focus on, or you can get topic prompts from: http://www.napowrimo.net
You can post your prologue (chapter 0) on March 31. If you get behind, try to catch up by April 30. Since this is for 30 poems, the entry fee is a little higher.
If you join after April 1, please be sure to end up with 30 poems in your book by April 30.
Most of all, have fun!
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 150.00 member dollars. There are only 3 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 180.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
Deadline: May 2nd
