DEC HORROR: <100 wds Holiday Fright

The Horror Writer's Club is hosting a contest the last day of every month leading up to Halloween. Please join one or all of the contests!

This month's December horror contest is:

HOLIDAY FRIGHT: Deck the halls with... bowels of Holly-- fla-la-la-la, muh-ha-ha-ha! Write a 100 word or less horror story about holiday horror. Any seasonal holiday is fair game for this haunt. Make it frightening and engaging, staying with the theme of the holidays and horror. Title excluded, use your own word count.

For those that need this:

- This is flash fiction, as it is axiomatic 100 words or less can only be
- No scripts, nonfiction, or poems for this one
- Reference horror and the holidays, and any temporally relevant holiday in December is appropriate
- The overarching goal is to HAVE FUN WRITING and entertain us all

Each month the Horror Writer's group will host a horror writing contest, leading up to October where we will have numerous contests and our Halloween Haunt! If you enjoy horror, whether to write or to read, PLEASE join our Horror Writer's club--it is new, and could use some love.

Happy Hauntings Everyone!

The contest winner will win half of the prize pool of 72.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.

Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Saturday, January 1, 2022.
