Waiter, There's A Spy in My Soup

The topic for this contest is: Spy-oriented or detective-oriented fiction, with an emphasis on humor. Especially looking for humorous mis-pronunciations and malaprops or puns. An example is Blake Edwards' Inspector Jacques Cousteau in classic Pink Panther movies. You may also parody other fictitious spies or detectives.

Write a story that somehow incorporates the topic. The story does not have to be specifically about the topic. But it should clearly incorporate the topic into the story.

Creative approaches are welcomed. But contest voters will be asked to consider the topic when making a choice for a winner.

Minimum length 300 words. Maximum Length 2,000 words. Recommended length 300 - 2,000 words.

The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 20.00 member dollars. There are 13 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 72.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
