Poetry Contest
*Compose a FREE VERSE poem ( USE NO RHYMING END PATTERN ) for a REAL STORY IN A POEM ABOUT YOU--the author ~ category is BIOGRAPHICAL.
INTERNAL/CROSS RHYMING MAY BE FREELY USED
*Minimum Length 16 lines / Maximum Length 26 lines
*ONE color font / ONE color background
* ONE Picture (or not) author's choice--any source
*Author notes allowed
*Dedication, IF desired, may be added ABOVE text of poem (NOT IN the body of the poem) ~ does NOT count in total number of maximum lines
~ NO ~be SURE to follow these rules, too
*NO suites, such as haiku, 575, etc. [suite is more than 1 of the same style]
*NO animations, videos, music, or picture with ANY words on it
* NO warnings of ANY kind ~ keep poem clean
AT LEAST FIVE (5) ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE VOTING BEGINS
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 35.00 member dollars. There are 11 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 5 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
