Write a Descriptive 2-10-2 Poem
Poetry Contest
Write a 2-10-2 poetic form incorporating descriptive words and phrases. This is a 3 line poem with the first line containing 2 syllables, the second line 10 syllables, and the third line 2 syllables. It looks best when it is centered.
Example:
broiling
flat, rainless skies, cracked parched earth, vultures scream
wasteland
brutal
pummeling pellets, harsh, staccato drums
hail storm
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 60.00 member dollars. There are 6 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 5 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
