Masquerade Ball Mystery
Write a story that somehow incorporates the artwork to the left. The story does not have to be specifically about the image. But contest voters will be asked to consider the image when making a choice for a winner.
Minimum length 700 words. Maximum Length 4,000 words. Recommended length 2,000 - 3,500 words.
A crime of some sort takes place. It may be a theft, murder, vandalism, etc. Some participants of the ball join forces to solve the mystery and unmask the guilty culprit.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 30.00 member dollars. There are 12 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
