How To . . .
Poetry Contest
Write a Poem with the focus on how to do something. Make it funny. It doesn't have to be something that can really be done. The humor in the poem may be the topic and/or how it is explained. Think of 'How to make a peanut butter & jelly sandwich--not really humorous. However, you can make it humorous [remember this can be fantasy].
Poem:
16-20 lines in length
Must RHYME
May be real OR fantasy
Any subject as long as NO warning of sex, language, or violence must be included
NO BATHROOM HUMOR OF ANY KIND
The category is humor, so make it funny
NO sonnets of any kind, free verse
NO music, animation
NO negative such as How To hurt a person, although the topic may be on how to get rid of bugs etc. such as How To Get Rid of Mosquitoes

Color scheme--your choice
No author notes other than citing artwork/picture location
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 52.00 member dollars. There are 5 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 72.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 5 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
