The Recognition Committee has announced that Jonez08 has been selected as the Recognized Writer for August. Jonez08, also known as Cassandra, is a # 12 ranked novelist here on FanStory with 102 plus fans. She's also a first place winner of the recent vampire story contest. Anyone who has had the opportunity to read her latest works, such as "Winds of Adversity" know what a gifted and talented writer she is. She hooks her readers into the story on line one, then cranks up the suspense, leaving them hanging at the edge of a cliff hungry for more at the end. She's a master at painting pictures in the reader's mind, which is probably how she's become such a favorite author of many of us here on FanStory. Reading a story written by Cassandra, is like watching a movie. She is also an active reviewer who shares her talent for writing with others and helps them in a very encouraging manner.

We are happy to announce that Recognized Writer reward for the month of June is Margaret Snowdon. The Committee wrote: Margaret, who joined FanStory.com in January of 2007, greatly supports the writers on FanStory.com. Her serialized historical novel, now in print, was well received in 2008. Margaret is a superior writer, in both poetry and prose, who can write equally as well about otters in the English countryside as about women of questionable repute. Her writing can be elegant, or it can be outright hilarious, but no matter what genre she is writing in, she makes impeccable word choices and puts great care into posting a polished finished product. And on those rare occasions where she makes an error, she is gracious in thanking the reviewer in pointing it out before conscientiously making revisions.

Congratulations go out to JeffreyStone. For The Old Times is the new Story of the Month. In second place finished In Dreams by kath79. In third place finished Rabbit by bhogg.
