This is excellent! I have a little image in my mind of this conversation happening on a dining table with a cup of tea and a pad with crayons nearby. It's excellently written, great imagery and really meaningful! I hope you win the contest!

Hi friend, and if only my 12 yr. old pre-teen granddaughter could be as innocent as yours. She's in a hospital in a deep depression, and maybe bipolar. I only wish that my girl could ask those questions of what poetry means. I love your answers and how she accepts them, and you explained to her just enough. I wish you the best of luck in this contest. . .Sharon

Pre-teen, eh--they grow up too soon! I relished your dialog and wonderful equating of poetry to flying. Your picture choice reinforces the description and title well. Best wishes in the contest- Joan

Sweet little diddy about the wonders of poetry. The style you used was effective and imaginative. It's great the enthusiasm you convey with your words.

A beautifully bright write. Full of imagery and description.
A great image and layout, with clear dialogue to complete the romance of the piece. It can be quite difficult to explain to a child the dimensions of poetry and personal feel as it is never ending...you did a great job here. Best wishes,
RG

An adorable and awe inspiring portrayal of what poetry means to you. I quite enjoyed how you used the amazement of your granddaughter's realization to express how poetry affects you. It was a simple, yet eye-opening emotion that came through emphatically.
