A truly touching and heart-breaking story about perseverance and an adoration for Jesus Christ.
There is always one person that is the firm foundation to lean on when the trials emerge and you feel there is no sense on living or lose your faith, but because she believes in a loving and divine deity there is always hope for a better tomorrow.

This is an excellent tribute to your friend and one that I enjoyed reading. You have succeeded in portraying Celia as the rock she obviously is.
There are a couple of things that I think need your attention:
"As she prepared to fly to France, she was trying to comfort her son, and all [those] around her."
Your husband's girlfriend entering the picture with no foreshadow of her presence is a bit jarring. The circumstances of this love triangle, if that's what it is, should have been foreshadowed.

To the author of She Changed My Life. I had a friend who died three years ago with cancer. I would say that she changed my life also. It is amazing how two people can help to raise each other up to honor each of their life challenges. Your story is very nicely written with sympathetic reflections. Excellent. Carole

In addition to losing her daughter, Celia's husband was discovered to have cancer, and Celia had a corporation to run, as well as a son to take care of in high school. Talk about your full plates!
No way she could have accomplished and gotten through all of it without good, loving and caring friends, and the grace of God.

I like that you have humbly expressed how the woman described as "an emotional and spiritual friend in Christ" changed your life.
