Such a sweet poem, Pili.
I could feel your love on every line.
It is hard to be away from those we love. It seems so unnatural somehow.
I remember my time in India and was impressed how families all lived together ... by choice. Generations under one roof. I think that we are missing something with all of our independent living.

Thank you Words , you have a point. I use to spend my summers in Scotland , but my medical condition don't aloud me to travel. I see them daily in my I pod, their gift to me , and is great!!!!

I am so sorry...I read this when it first came out with the picture of the plane...I remember I wanted to say something special...and decided to leave it until I came home...and I forgot Pili....ta stupid....sorry sweetie...I don't even have a gold star...ta stupid....you guys look like thrins....-smile-...happy and Spanish....on the Celtic side...-wink-...beat ya to it....lol...ahh so happy you have so much love Pili...your Daughter is beautiful....as you.....love you michael

They come from Scotland to visit, I can't travel due to my health. But the gave me an I pod so I see them daily, that helps. Thank you for a great comment. Pili

I often think of children and grandchildren spending time with grandma (I see it all the time here in Spain, of course). I am always struck by the intense joy which such a simple thing gives to all the people involved. Your poem captures it beautifully.

It's always sad to say good-bye, even for just a little while. For most,our children and grand children are the foundations on which we place our hopes and dreams of the future upon, and we miss them dearly when they have to go back home.
