This poem really got me thinking. It is a truth stated in a poetic fashion. The psychology behind mankind's weirdest habits. To dislike one another one day until fear lures all together with a tightly knit invisible connective tissue.

This is one of the endearing things about humanity...we empathize and in a tragedy people reach out and help....bleeds in unison
Well done
God bless

Dear Dallas Alice,
This was truly Exceptional. I too believe that tragedy affects humanity in this way. This naani elequently expressed that sense of collective conciousness. Really well done--Ted

Thanks, Ted. And thanks for the bonus star. Sadly, the other side of that coin is sooner or later it will be business as usual.

Wow, this is deep. I like the use of the mono-rhyme for such a short verse. It gives it power without distracting from the meaning of the verse. When tragedy strikes, people often do connect and grieve as one( think 9-11), but, although their tears are separate and cry alone, they are pat of a total unity of soul. What a pity, we can't achieve that in times of ordinary living. Excellent entry!

a lovely example of the naani form here, almost epigrammatic - reads like a wise summary of humanity I think. Good entry! :)Sharyn

So much truth in your few words. Sometimes it seems to take w tragedy for us to realize our humanity and rich out to those around us. Beautifull artwork to compliment your message.

This Naani poem is absolutely beautiful. The wording says so much. The truth is there of how we come together when there's a tragedy. Our hearts bleed and our tears are shed, and I'm sure many prayers are said in times such as this. I wish you the best of luck in this contest. I thoroughly enjoyed reading. . .Sharon

This naani, well written, reminded me of the unity that occurs in situations like the Boston Marathon Bombing and other such incidents. Healing is in unity. If only that unity could prevent tragedy before it happens.

Thank you for reviewing.
The disaster in Korea is what sparked this.

Indeed it does, and what a profoundly written piece about us all pulling together as one cohesive unit in time of catastrophe or dire circumstance.
This was an excellent Naani, with a very inspirational and uplifting message.

Great use of the naani form!
You evoke an instant connection with the idea of "universal" empathy i the face of "grand scale" tragedy - like 9/11 , the ferry that just sank, school shooting, etc. At those time. . .in the privacy of our rooms - each of us cry silent tears. all our hearts beating as one, creating - for all intents and purposes - a world heart.
