Nonsensical words that block my view,
once understood, now battled through.
Torrential torment frames my frown,
no more smiles as tears tumble down.
Just for a while, you shone diamond bright
and I was drawn to your vibrant light.
Engulfed in an aura of ink blot black,
I now see the good things that you lack
I bared my soul, my self, my being
and gave my all, never truly seeing.
Once again my thoughts went askew,
a love once so clear slipped from view.
Unsure of my path, which way to turn,
the roads closing quickly, nowhere to run.
It's time to break out and set myself free,
I'll take time to love the person that's me.
