A Poem About Letting Go writing prompt entry

Finally, Letting Go

My love of wicked ways requires its toll
as I return from diamond, back to coal.

Condemnation permeates this guilty hideous hole,
my strangulated faith seeks breath within my wicked soul.

please-
          anyone…
                             I'm afraid.

"I fear my heart is small
I ask you, weep for me
a hellhounds barking call
oh, who will hear my plea?"

silent voice
                directs-
                                the plan is laid

forsaking sinful-warm, enticing-blind embrace
an evil lure, caressing every painful place

On knees I beg, "please fill this empty space".
No time slips by, comes all-consuming grace.

                                          terrified
unforgiveable mistakes
                this fool's made

Yet, the price for all my foolish stumbles,
has been paid for me- without me earning.
Though beneath my feet the whole world crumbles,
The Spirit's touch, responds to my yearning.

Now, forgiven!
        for with regret,

I prayed.

Writing Prompt
Write a poem about LETTING GO. It can be a PERSON, AN OBJECT OR AN IDEA...anything goes, but please keep it SINCERE.

Author Notes
Various line lengths and rhyme schemes. abab, rhyming couplets, mono rhyme, pentameter, etc....... Though this is spiritual in subject matter, I would hope that it is judged and compared on writing merit. That is what's fair.
