~Why are we always in a hurry,

when we've really no place to go?

We all scamper and we scurry,

traveling yonder, to and fro...

 

Observe the world's little ones,

admire the wonder in their eyes,

taking in the world around them,

with admiration and surprise.

 

Blue butterfly wings beating the breeze,

scabbed scrapes across child's clumsy knees,

the way yon thunder shakes the ground;

to children — miracles still abound...

 

Is it true, we gain wisdom with age;

couldn't we all learn a thing or two?

From the youngest of God's creatures;

smaller versions of me and you.~
