And I always thought the quote was "Hairy is the head that tops a clown!" Anyhow, this was moody and melancholy and the type of work that causes your reader to ponder. Very well done!

Thank you for sharing this Minute poem contest entry with us. This poem is rich with descriptive details and emotion. It caused me to pause after I read it. Good luck with the contest.

This artwork is beautiful. This is actually all a work of art. The words fit so well. I am pleased you found inspiration in Shakespeare and were kind enough to share that. This is essentially a tragic tale yet told with such charm. Thank you and good luck.

I enjoyed reading this poem. I love daffodils. It symbolizes spring. Love the picture. Goes well with the poem. Very well written. Great job on this

Nice complementary picture art choice.
"sun's warmth, wind's chills;" Good juxtaposition of contrasting feels.
"a scented death." Interesting oxymoron imagery.
Met the line and syllable cunt requirements for this poem type/contest. However, the 3 stanzas would be more distinct if you put an extra line of spacing after the 4th and 8th lines.
Good luck in the contest.

I enjoyed your minute poem. It looks like you got the syllable count correct, and I liked that the poem was inspired by a Shakespeare quote. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Another fine poem, Hull....and responsibility can sure weigh a person down, to the point of breaking sometimes. It's a heavy cross to bear and can be overwhelming

A beautiful poem accompanied by a stunning image.

'In daffodils she made her bed,

left words unsaid

as there she wept,

her secret kept.'

Full of poetic mystery, it keeps you guessing what her secrets were.
